Unable to Synchronise Printer using HP Command Centre

Are you having issues with trying to install applications using the HP Command Centre, whereby after you have claimed a Device you cannot perform the install due to the device not being synchronised and you tried to manually trigger a Sync, but it fails.


Here are some tips you could follow


1. Check to ensure your Firewall is not Blocking UDP Port 9930, as the Web Services which is responsible for communicating to HPCC uses HTTPS Port 443 and UDP port 9930


2. After you claim a Device, you should wait for around 15-30 Minutes while HPCC Synchronises the Device Automatically, do not force a Sync by pressing Sync Now, as it can interfere with the process.


3. Unplug! the Power Cord from the Printer and Try again, this can also remedy other issues like printer reporting it has non genuine Toner or especially after a Firmware Upgrade.



If None of these resolve your onboarding issues, then I recommend the following:


1. Reset the Device serial number using the Following URL Reset Your Device – HP JetAdvantage App Support  , This will remove the printer from your command centre


2. Unplug power cord and power it back up


3. Disable and Enable Web Services (EWS)


4. Enable HP  Workpath (EWS)


5. Enable HP Command Centre from Console to start a Claim process


6. Claim Device and Wait around 15-30 Minutes, and then check to ensure it has Auto Synced. Do not Force Manual Sync. 



Other Check List items you may want to Review before you start are items like Date & Time, Region, DNS and disable TCPIP V6


Last but not least, the HP Command Centre Web Servies infrastructure could be having issues, here is a URL so you could see if any services are reported as offline HP Command Center Status 




HP Also has a Windows based / Command Based Network Test tool, which allows you to check if your local LAN can reach out to all of the HP Backend Services, you will need to reach out to HP Support to request the tool "WorkpathAccessTest"
